BROOKINGS COUNTY An incident northwest of White where agricultural equipment damaged approximately 200 feet of roadway is being investigated by the Brookings County Sheriffs Office.
The incident, which was reported at 4:50 p.m. Friday, appeared to involve a tractor that was pulling a tiller, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring wrote in a news release on Monday morning. It occurred on 197th Street near 473rd Avenue. He wrote that significant damage occurred, and the area has been blocked off while repairs are made. No damage estimate was available Monday afternoon.
