High school bowling: Brookings teams split with Brandon Valley at The Lanes

BROOKINGS The Brookings girls bowling team improved to 2-0 on Friday as they beat Brandon Valley 42-8 at The Lanes on Friday. The boys fell to the Lynx 26.5-23.5 and dropped to 1-1 on the season.

Girls

All but one bowler rolled over a 500 total. Kacee Rhody led the way with a total score of 566. She rolled a 170, a 204 and a 192. Brooklyn Hieb had a total of 556. She rolled a 203, a 191 and a 162. Teagan Bremmon had a total of 548. She rolled a 166, a 150 and a 232.

Alexis Hieb had a total of 543. She rolled a 223, a 161 and a 159. Peyton McBride had a total 512. She rolled a 144, a 234 and a 134. Catelyn Vernarsky rounded things out for the Bobcats and she had a total of 489 with a 170, a 172 and a 147.

Boys

The Bobcat boys had four bowlers have a total of 500 or better. Adrian Howard led the Cats with a 595. He rolled a 174, a 216 and a 205. Gage Craft had a total of 554. He rolled a 212, a 148 and a 194.

Dylan Scubelek had a total of 522 with a 141, a 168 and a 213. James Tefft had a 510 total with a 168, a 160 and a 182. Holden Austreim had a total of 493 (176, 157, 160) and Jaiden Monell had a total of 465 (143, 173, 149).
