BROOKINGS – Work continues on Dakota Prairie Elementary, the new $15 million K-3 school being built near 26th Street South and Main Avenue South in southwest Brookings.
Addressing the Brookings school board during Monday night’s meeting, Paul Sahr, the project manager at the site, informed board members that workers have made up a week but still are behind schedule by three weeks.
“We are now three weeks behind schedule, hoping we can make it up, and I believe we will. It won’t come without some heartache, but I think we can do it,” he said. “I think things are progressing very well. Anybody that wants rain can go away. I’d rather keep this weather we’ve had.”For the complete article see the 08-12-2014 issue.
