BROOKINGS – "The pub crawl, nothing real serious occured," said Brookings Police Lt. Derrick Powers of the annual event – now dubbed by some the "pub parade" – near St. Paddy's Day. "It was pretty much what we prepare for, extra people out. It was busy but nothing too serious."
There were, however, a couple of instances of uninvited guests dropping in to spend the night at two Brookings residences.
The first one was reported about 2:20 a.m. Saturday, before the crawl even kicked off. Powers said when officers responded to the call by a resident in the 800 block of Fifth Street, they found a 23-year-old Sioux Falls man who did not belong there. For the complete article see the 03-25-2014 issue.
