No. 3 South Dakota State falls short against IPFW, 64-60

SIOUX FALLS – Familiar opponents. Unfamiliar territory.

Hours after the South Dakota State women’s basketball team lost a Summit League Tournament game for the first time in program history, the Jackrabbit men’s squad had its seven-game tourney win streak snapped in a 64-60 semifinal loss to IPFW on Monday night at Sioux Falls Arena.

“I thought this obviously was a big win for our program,” said IPFW head coach Tony Jasick. “I thought our guys competed with great toughness.

“You’ve got to give credit to SDSU. I thought they fought hard the entire game, but we made some plays when we needed to.”
