Brackets for book lovers

Kali Ward, a student library worker at Brookings High School, puts up a list of wild card books that students wrote in on their ballots for the Teen Book Tournament. Next to the list are the March Madness-style brackets that are being used in the contest.

BROOKINGS – The NCAA isn’t the only one that can celebrate March Madness.

The Brookings High School Library is offering a Teen Book Tournament that uses a bracket system similar the famous basketball tournament.

The BHS tournament started with a “Sweet 16” of book titles with students in English classes voting on their favorites. The next rounds of voting were open to all students.
