• New district to include plans for future development in SW Brookings
BROOKINGS – The Brookings City Council has a light agenda for its Feb. 11 business session.
Probably the most important item the councilors will deal with involves the creation of Tax Increment District (TID) No. 7 in South Brookings.
The TID is being created to help pay for the improvements along South Main Avenue and the construction of 26th Street South. Revenues will help fund road costs, sewer and other infrastructure.
