MITCHELL – After a quiet first half, Brookings senior guard Tyler Nagy took control.
Nagy scored 25 second-half points to lead the Bobcats to their second Eastern South Dakota Conference win this season Tuesday as Brookings defeated the Mitchell Kernels, 75-57, ending a six-game losing skid.
“Nagy is as good as they come,” said Mitchell first-year head coach Erik Skoglund, whose team has lost 10 straight. “We’ve seen some great guards already this year and he’s right there at the top.
“He handled the game, not only with his scoring, but he’s as sure with the ball as anybody in the state. He went wherever he wanted to go against our trap.”For the complete article see the 01-22-2014 issue.
