Bernice Marion (Eriksrud) Johnson Watson, 92, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Bernice was born Sept. 5, 1921, in Sinai to Jacob Eriksrud and Selma (Pedersen) Eriksrud. She grew up on a farm in with four siblings.
She married Glenn "Lefty" Johnson in 1940 and together farmed in Sinai. They moved with their three children to Monmouth, Ore. in 1962 and operated a service station.
Glenn died in 1966. Bernice worked at OCE, now known as Western Oregon University in Monmouth.
In early 1980, she moved to Springfield. She enjoyed needlecraft, card games and dessert. She married Charles "Cliff" Watson in 2001.
Charles died in 2008.
She is survived by two sons, Gene (Jeanne) Johnson of Springfield, Ore., and Jim (Beverly) Johnson of Phoenix; daughter-in-law, Loretta Johnson of Salem, Ore.; two sisters, Arleen Tillison and Doris Haugen; sister-in-law, Betty Eriksrud; brother-in-law, Carroll "Cye" Heath; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; step-children, step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, a brother, Gordon Eriksrud; a sister, Hjordis Heath; and a son David Allen Johnson.
