Dakota Mobile Hydraulics fire damages robotic equipment

No injuries, but damage could reach $250K

BROOKINGS A blaze at a Brookings manufacturing firm caused an estimated $200,000 to $250,000 in equipment damage on Tuesday afternoon, according to city fire officials.

Deputy Fire Chief Pete Bolzer said Brookings firefighters were called to Dakota Mobile Hydraulics at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, for a filter fire that started in an exhaust system.
