BROOKINGS – South Dakota State University has become a leader in scientific research. It’s now the nation’s fastest-growing land-grant university in terms of agricultural and ag-related research.
Over the past five years, the school’s annual research expenditures have increased by more than 100 percent.
And just this summer, university officials rolled out a new, five-year strategic plan that calls for increasing overall research spending from $68.7 million to more than $115 million annually.
