• Funds will pay for Bel plant digester, Main Avenue improvements
BROOKINGS – With little fanfare, the Brookings City Council on Tuesday unanimously approved the issuance of $10 million of sales tax revenue bonds.
The funds will be used to pay for the Bel Brands anaerobic digester and for the South Main Avenue Improvement Project.
While it’s a major financial obligation, the payback funds won’t all come from sales tax revenues, as the name implies.For the complete article see the 10-23-2013 issue.
