Big plays lift Missouri State past South Dakota State

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. Ė Big plays propelled Missouri State to an early 20-0 lead and the Bears held on to beat No. 15/18 South Dakota State, 35-21, in a Missouri Valley Football Conference game Saturday afternoon at Plaster Field.

Ashton Glaser hit Julian Burton for a 56-yard touchdown pass on MSUís opening possession.

Late in the first quarter, Ryan Heaston broke off an 83-yard run to set up Mikael Cooper-Fallsí 4-yard TD rush.
