BROOKINGS – A man asked to leave a Brookings residence Saturday chose to ignore the request, and as a result, this week he’s facing two counts of simple assault as well as a charge of criminal trespass.
Police said they got a call about 1:50 p.m. Saturday, the caller advising that a man was refusing to leave a home in the 300 block of 12th Avenue.
Central dispatch got a second call just a few minutes later, this time the caller reporting that a fight had started and several people at the residence had gotten involved.
