SIOUX FALLS – Sioux Falls O’Gorman senior Max Donohue was medalist and led the Knights to the team title in the Sioux Falls Washington Invitational on Monday at the par-71 Willow Run Golf Course.
Donohue, an Arizona commit and the reigning SDGA Junior champion, fired a 1-under-par 70.
O’Gorman and Sioux Falls Lincoln both shot 303, with the Knights capturing the team crown. The Patriots won the Class AA state title last season.
Brandon Valley (305) was two shots back in third.
Lincoln’s Cole Peterson was second at 72. Watertown’s Drew Mahowald was third after a 74.
Brandon Valley’s Riley Duncanson, Lincoln junior Tommy Vining (the defending Class AA state champ), Brandon Valley’s Tanner Fjerstad and O’Gorman’s Ben Rogers each shot 75 and took fourth through eighth, respectively.
