LaVonne “Vonnie” Linneman Ness, 67, died Thursday, July 25, 2013.
Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Estelline. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Francis Catholic Church, followed by a scripture service at 7 p.m.
She was born May 8, 1946, in Estelline to Alphonse and Mildred (Keimig) Linneman. Vonnie graduated from Estelline High School in 1964.
She enjoyed being a housewife and mother to two lovely daughters. She worked part time as a caregiver at the Estelline Nursing and Care Center and managed a restaurant in Lake Preston.
On April 26, 1985, she married Melvin Ness and they lived in Lake Preston.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin of Lake Preston; her mother Veronica Linneman of Estelline; a sister, Marlena Bauer of Beresford; two daughters, Melissa McComish of Clearwater, Fla., and Michelle McComish of Holiday, Fla.; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one aunt and two uncles, Jackie Hinsvark of Woodburn, Ore., Francis Keimig of Estelline and Maynard (Elizabeth) Keimig of Brookings; and many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alphonse and Mildred Linneman.
