BROOKINGS – The Sioux Falls Saints finished with just 10 hits, but they bunched them together as they scored three first-inning runs on the way to a 6-2 win over Brookings in amateur baseball action on Thursday at Bob Shelden Field.

The Saints opened with back-to-back singles by Josh Meyer and Mike Archer to put runners on the corner before Logan Landon’s sacrifice fly to center field plated Meyer.

Cubby’s starting pitcher Marcus Heemstra then walked Danny Hughes and then Tom Erpenbach singled to right field to score Archer.
