BROOKINGS – Public transportation in Brookings County and the surrounding areas is a key component in the ability of the community to thrive economically and socially.
Those who work in the transportation field realize that the services they provide are, in the end, all about quality of life, dignity and respect for community members.
That’s why the National Center for Mobility Management and the Brookings Area Transit Authority are hosting a Brookings Area Mobility Visioning Workshop next week.
The workshop will be held Thursday, July 18, at the First United Methodist Church’s Community Life Center at 625 Fifth St. It will begin at 2 p.m., and organizers plan to go to about 5 p.m. Light refreshments will be available.
