BROOKINGS – When their oldest son Jacob was old enough to walk, Elkton resident Bruce Crevier would pull him out of the crowd at a show and have him hold up a finger, then balance a spinning basketball on it.

“We never dreamed that we'd have 12 kids and we would be traveling all over the place as a family,” Bruce said. “I mean, I started out just doing it all by myself and, as the kids grew up, they of course learned and I incorporated them into the program.”

Twenty-one years ago, Bruce and Diane Crevier made Bruce’s passion for entertaining and teaching into their full-time work, and named it Champions Forever Ministries. The ministry is a nonprofit organization that takes this family to schools, community events, half-time shows, prisons and just about anywhere. Recently the Creviers have won national recognition as contenders on the television show America’s Got Talent.
