Watertown rallies twice to sweep Bandits

WATERTOWN – Watertown came from behind in both games to sweep a doubleheader from Brookings in American Legion baseball action here Tuesday evening.

Watertown, which improved to 21-11 on the season, scored late to edge the Bandits 3-1 in the opener and erupted for seven runs in the fifth inning of game two to upend Brookings 8-7.

The Bandits dropped to 21-8 on the season and have a few days off now before resuming action on Sunday at Marshall, Minn., in a twinbill slated to start at 1 p.m.
