BROOKINGS Ė You might expect it some Saturday night after the bars shut down: a couple of beer-fueled young bucks take a swing at one another over some perceived offense.
But itís another story entirely when two 60-plus gentlemen get into a mid-morning scuffle in the meat aisle at Hy-Vee.
Thatís exactly what happened Tuesday, according to Lt. Derrick Powers of the Brookings police.
At about 10:30 a.m., officers were called to the 22nd Avenue Hy-Vee store to referee an altercation between two men Ė one that resulted in scrapes and bumps and in one of them being charged with disorderly conduct.
