What do they say about South Dakota weather? If you don’t like it, wait a minute and it will change?

The weather is about the only item left unplanned after six months of work by the event’s organizing committee. And, right now, five days out, the forecast is holding at high 50s/low 60s and 10-20 percent chance of rain.
But, no matter what turn the weather takes, somewhere around 1,000 runners will hit the streets of Brookings, from the Scotty Roberts 5K and Children’s Museum of South Dakota Kids Run on Friday evening through Saturday morning’s marathon, half marathon, marathon relay and 26th Mile Kids Run.
