• Brookings brothers join forces to form company focused on regional storytelling

BROOKINGS – They’ve both been away for a while and done some work separately in the film industry. Now, brothers Jay and Paul Fishback have returned to Brookings to start a production company and bolster the film community in this region.

Already, Northern Voyage Productions, which they created at the end of 2012, will host a film festival in Brookings this weekend, bringing in some guest speakers well known to the film community. They’ll teach local filmmakers about regional filmmaking and about getting their films into the hands of buyers.

Jay and Paul, who are the sons of Barb and Van Fishback, say South Dakota and specifically Brookings already has a lot of filmmakers.
