GRAND FORKS, N.D. – North Dakota scored a run in the bottom of the ninth inning to pull out a 4-3 victory over South Dakota State Tuesday afternoon in non-conference baseball action at Kraft Memorial Field.
UND improved to 17-18-1 overall with the victory, while the Jackrabbits dropped to 25-16 overall. SDSU also fell to 2-10 this season in one-run games.
The home team broke into the scoring column first, scoring a pair of runs in the top of the second against Jackrabbit starter Joe Erickson. Sam Alt drove in the first run of the frame with a base it and Jacob Threlkald followed with a run-scoring infield single two batters later.
