• Both seeking malt beverage and wine licenses
BROOKINGS – The long-running topic of “liquor licenses” will come before the Brookings City Council again next Tuesday, but this time, there’ll be a slight twist to the story.
That’s because of the two applicants for the licenses: a commercial day spa that’s not normally in the food-and-drink business and the Children’s Museum of South Dakota. To be fair, the applications are not for liquor at all, but each has requested an “on/off sale malt beverage license” and an “on/off sale wine license.”
If approved, the licenses would give Krave the Experience, located at University Mall, and the Children’s Museum the right to serve beer or wine to their patrons, as well as to sell packaged beer and wine products.
