Posted: Monday, Apr 22nd, 2013

The $3.2 million project got the official go-ahead from the board last week when the group approved the sale of up to $3.8 million in general obligation bonds. VOLGA – All systems are go for the Sioux Valley Schools Performing Arts Center (PAC), a project that will result in the transformation of the oldest structure on the Volga campus, known simply as the “1925 Building.”

On the heels of a $200,000 gift approved April 1 by the Volga City Council, the school board last week authorized the sale of up to $3.8 million in general obligation bonds to finance the planned arts center.

“Extremely excited,” is how Sioux Valley Superintendent Tom Oster described himself this week.

“I’m gratified by the city and their support and the Sioux Valley Alumni & Friends and their support. It takes all of us to get behind a project like this to make it happen.”
