BROOKINGS – The township subcommittee has already drafted an application for Brookings County townships to receive economic development aid from the county.
County commissioners discussed it thoroughly Tuesday and, with some changes, plan to approve that document April 25 so townships can begin their applications and receive money this fall.
Commissioners Stephne Miller and Tom Yseth, who form the subcommittee with two township representatives, presented the document Tuesday. It will be sent to all townships along with a cover letter to further explain the process. Both will stress this is one-time aid only.
