BROOKINGS – A school year that was supposed to end for Brookings students May 23 is now extended, thanks to four days of school missed for bitter cold and snow.
Brookings School District Superintendent Roger DeGroot told the school board Monday that his schools missed one day in December, one in February and so far two in April.
“That now takes us, our last day of school, to May 30, which is a Thursday,” DeGroot said.
