Blizzard fall to Bismarck, 8-3, in postseason opener

BISMARCK, N.D. – The Bobcats dominated play against Brookings in the opening game of the Central Division Robertson Cup playoffs on Friday at the VFW Center in Bismarck, N.D.

Bismarck scored three second-period goals to push its lead to four en route to an 8-3 victory over the Blizzard to take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five games series.

The Bobcats led 53-23 in shots on goal as they got on the scoreboard less than three minutes into the game on the way to a 2-1 lead after 20 minutes.
