• Council to deal with variety of bids, projects
BROOKINGS – Tuesday’s meeting of the Brookings City Council is likely to be another “nuts and bolts” working session, but two of the projects slated for a council vote will have special meaning to the city’s parks and rec department.
The concessions and restroom building at Bob Shelden Field has outlived its usefulness and it’s slated for demolition this summer.
On Tuesday, the council is expected to approve a $172,950 bid from Rangel Construction of Rapid City to construct a new facility at the Medary-Dwiggins sports complex.
