SIOUX FALLS – It was fitting that a complete team effort finally lifted the Bobcats to a win over Huron.
Twice-beaten by the Tigers during the regular season, Brookings beat Huron, 61-54, in the fifth-place game of Saturday’s Class AA State Boys’ Basketball Tournament at the Sioux Falls Arena.
“It was a war – talk about our execution that second half; it was darn near perfect,” said Brookings head coach Travis Engebretson. “(We were) 17-of-20 from the free-throw line; we got in the bonus early and they got in the bonus early and I think we did a nice job of adjusting to the way the game was being called.”
