South Dakota State’s Carpenter earns first Summit Golfer of Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota State golfer Hudson Carpenter carded a tournament-high 19 birdies and finished tied for fourth after shooting six-under par at the Jackrabbit Invitational held Monday and Tuesday and picked up his first career Summit League Men’s Golfer of the Week award.

The junior led the Jackrabbits to a third place finish on the Desert Course at the Primm Valley Golf Club. He also helped the Jacks break the record for lowest 54-hole score in school history at 855, previously held by the 2008 team at the Santa Clara Invitational (857).
