Eugene T. Butler - Brookings: Dec. 3, 1922 – Feb. 13, 2013

Lt. Col. Eugene T. Butler, United States Air Force, (retired), 90, died Feb. 13, 2013.

A memorial service will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. at the McCrory Gardens Visitor Center on Saturday. The program in his honor will begin at 1:15 p.m.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy M. Butler; son Eugene T. Butler III; daughter, Diane T. Butler Byrd; son-in-law, Collins B. Byrd; three grandchildren, Eugene T. Butler IV, Yvette T. Butler and Daryl B. Byrd and two sisters, Iris Nelson and Rosemarie Holland.
