Five hurt in eastside collision

• Four taken from scene by ambulance

BROOKINGS – Five people suffered injuries in a two-vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Sixth Street and 34th Avenue.

Drivers and passengers in both vehicles were transported by ambulance to the Brookings hospital, and a 10-year-old was later taken to the hospital emergency room by family members.

The extent of the injuries has not been disclosed, but investigating officers noted the male driver of one of the vehicles suffered both arm and facial injuries.
