• Downtown watering hole offers science classes

BROOKINGS – Looking for some learning opportunities "featuring speakers on a variety of contemperary subjects that shape the world we live in?"

If you are, "Science at the Pub" is a curriculuum you might want to pursue.

The free "classes" are held once a month, at Jim's Tap. The instructors are recognized authorities in their fields. The atmosphere is laid back. There are no reading assignmments, papers or exams. And attendance is optional; you simply pick the subjects that interest you.

And a big plus is the enjoyment of an in-class cold brewski, or other beverage; but since the classroom is a pub, there is one requirement: you have to be 21 to attend classes.
