• SDSU win over Omaha, IUPUI loss to South Dakota gives Jackrabbits second straight conference championship
BROOKINGS – It ended up being a pretty good night for Jackrabbit seniors Leah Dietel, Ashley Eide and Katie Lingle on Thursday at Frost Arena.
Not only did South Dakota State beat University of Nebraska at Omaha, 69-56, in the Jacks’ final Summit League home game, IUPUI’s loss to South Dakota sewed up their second-straight regular season title for the Jacks and clinched the top seed in the Summit League Tournament.
SDSU improved to 21-7 and 13-2 in the conference as the Mavs dropped to 16-9 and 6-7 in league play.
