Fishback: Time is right to get involved

BROOKINGS – Van Fishback formally announced his candidacy for the Brookings School District Board of Education this week.

"As a lifelong resident, a family businessman in this community, and an alumnus of Brookings schools, I care deeply about our teachers and students and want to make sure they get what they need to continue their tradition of excellence," he said.

With education funding facing a challenging future, Fishback said he feels the timing is right to get more directly involved.
