SIOUX FALLS – The Rangers took a huge step toward securing the top seed in the upcoming state tournament as Brookings blasted the Flyers, 8-1, on Friday at the Sioux Falls Expo.
Brookings scored two goals in each of the first two periods before adding four third-period goals to improve to 16-2 on the season.
The Rangers, with 32 points, lead second-place Oahe by four points and third-place Sioux Falls by eight points in the South Dakota Amateur Hockey Association standings.
