Chill drill Blizzard, 5-2

ONALASKA, Wis. – The Coulee Region Chill opened up a 3-0 lead after a period en route to a 5-2 victory over the Brookings Blizzard in a North American Hockey League Central Division matchup Friday night at the Omni Center.

Mac Jansen, Andy Faust and Garrett Hendrickson each scored a goal in the opening period.

Conor Andrle got Brookings on the board with 8:59 left in the second, as Eric Brenk and Evan Hesse notched assists. But Hendrickson answered for Coulee Region, making it 4-1 heading to the third.

The Blizzard again cut the deficit to two – 4-2 – on Nick DeCenzo’s goal with 11:02 left in the third. Eutu Karvinen was credited with the assist.
