BROOKINGS – After earning their first Western Wrestling Conference dual win last week against Northern Colorado, the Jacks couldn’t make it two in a row against the Bison on Friday at Frost Arena.
North Dakota State won the first three matches, picked up a forfeit, and then closed out the dual with four straight wins for a 36-9 WWC win over SDSU.
“We’re outmatched – I’m a realistic guy,” said SDSU head coach Chris Bono. “We need to pull a whole bunch of upsets to beat them; they’ve got guys ranked in the top-8 and all we can ask for right now is fight –and we’re getting better."
