Sioux Valley wins home finale

VOLGA – Sioux Valley took control in the fourth quarter and came away with a 53-40 win over Castlewood in a physical boys’ basketball matchup Tuesday evening at the Cossack Center.

“(It is) just a big win for the Cossacks coming off a couple of losses last week and fighting for a home playoff seed,” said Sioux Valley head coach Bill Vincent. “It was good to finish our last regular-season home game with a ‘W’ against a tough team – a team that owns a win over Madison; has taken Clark/Willow Lake to overtime – and we get control of the game and get the ‘W’ at the end.”
