WHITE – Deubrook Area took a 15-point halftime lead and cruised to its 14th win of the season with a 65-39 Dakota Valley Conference triumph over Lake Preston on Tuesday in White.
The Dolphins led 12-11 after eight minutes before pulling away with a 21-7 second-quarter outburst. Deubrook Area, 14-5, was up by 20 after three (50-30) and extended the final margin to 26.
Ashton Buller posted a double-double with 15 pionts and 10 rebounds as Abby Englin added 13 points and Hannah Sheffield finished with seven rebounds.
Samantha Bradfield and Kristen Longville scored 10 and seven points, respectively, to lead the Divers. Brianna Paul and Marly Vendrig each grabbed five boards as Lake Preston finished its regular season with a 5-15 mark.
