Property assessment notices going out soon

• Ag land assessments rise 15 and 25 percent, commercial assessments also up

BROOKINGS – The Brookings County Equalization Office will soon be mailing 2013 assessment notices to all Brookings County property owners, it was announced last week by Joyce Dragseth, director of equalization.

“According to state law, they must be mailed by March 1, 2013,” the director said. “Please look for yours to be in the mail by mid-February.”
