Elkton ammonia tank target of drug-makers?

ELKTON – Was somebody trying to steal the anhydrous ammonia to cook meth?

That’s the suspicion of the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring said today.

Sebring reported that someone recently attempted to steal anhydrous ammonia from the Elkton Farmers Cooperative.

The sheriff’s office took the report Friday afternoon from staffers at the Elkton elevator, according to Sebring.
