BROOKINGS – Northern Iowa won the final nine matches – earning bonus points in seven of the bouts – during a 41-3 dual victory over South Dakota State on Friday night at Frost Arena.
Jackrabbit senior Aaron Pickrel opened the night with a hard-fought 3-2 decision over Ryan Jauch at 125 pounds.
Pickrel recorded a takedown with 8 seconds left in the first and Jauch quickly escaped to make it 2-1 after a period.
In the second, Jauch built a big riding-time advantage, before Pickrel escaped with just 1 second left to take a 3-1 lead.
