Second half powers Jackrabbits past NDSU

BROOKINGS – Nate Wolters and the Jackrabbits dominated the second half for a 69-53 Summit League men’s basketball victory over North Dakota State before a capacity crowd at Frost Arena on Saturday.

South Dakota State went on a back-breaking 17-0 run while winning its 26th consecutive home game.

SDSU made 11 of its first 16 field-goal attempts in the second half, while NDSU connected on just one of its first 13.

Wolters and Jordan Dykstra sandwiched 3s around a Tony Fiegen jumper to give SDSU the lead for good – 41-40 – with 15:09 left.
