• Sioux Valley improves to 10-4 with 61-41 win over De Smet
VOLGA – Spencer Hanson, Tayton Vincent and Jake Larson combined for 51 points as Sioux Valley pulled away in the second half during a 61-41 victory over De Smet in boys’ basketball action Tuesday night at the Cossack Center.
“I thought we were a little bit slow early on; maybe a trap game after getting up for Vermillion in the (Corn) Palace on Saturday,” said Sioux Valley head coach Bill Vincent. “We weren’t moving very well defensively early in the game, but I thought the second half – especially the fourth quarter – was more of the way we’re capable of defending.”
