Men throw items at partners in separate fights
BROOKINGS Two Brookings men will answer to charges of simple assault as the result of separate domestic arguments that reached a climax early Saturday morning.
The 25-year-old Brookings man charged in the first incident was actually arrested in Watertown, and on a separate charge. A law enforcement officer there apparently noticed a car moving erratically. He stopped the driver and began procedures to arrest him for driving under the influence of alcohol. As he was doing so, the officer noticed a large laceration on the mans head. The driver told him that earlier that night he had been struck by a woman.
