Elkton-Lake Benton takes DVC boys’ title; Dolphins win girls’ crown

WHITE – The Elkton-Lake Benton Elks put together a fourth-quarter rally to beat Arlington, 69-60, for the Dakota Valley Conference Tournament title, while the Deubrook Area girls overcame a four-point halftime deficit to down Estelline, 48-45, for the DVC Tournament girls’ crown on Saturday in White.

Boys’ Championship

• Elkton-Lake Benton 69, Arlington 60

The Cardinals led at every quarter break – 17-16 after one; 38-35 at half; and 51-48 through three; but a 21-9 fourth-quarter surge by Elkton-Lake Benton proved to be too much as the Elks improved to 11-1 on the season in winning the DVC title.
