BROOKINGS – It’s tough to use the term “must-win game” seven weeks before the state tournament, but for the Rangers to have a good chance at a league championship, Sunday’s Senior Day matchup at Larson Ice Center with league-leading Sioux Falls was huge.

Brookings dominated the Flyers on the way to a 5-1 South Dakota Amateur Hockey Association win and took over the top spot in the standings with 24 points on the strength of 12 wins to go along with two losses. Oahe is tied with the Rangers with an identical record as Sioux Falls dropped to third with 23 points on 11 wins and an overtime loss.
